Advanced gates / Custom gates

Really, what's the difference between the two? Everyone keeps posting expressions in both, so why two forums?

I thought (when I first joined the forum) that, Advanced gates were for expressions, and Custom gates was for coding Lua Gates.

in advanced gate you put codes for e gates and not much else. in custom gates you post gates you made for a specific purpose. its really a kind of developers center where you can post anything you have programmed in lua for others to use.

in summation one is for ingame scripts the other is for lua programming outside the game.
