Hey everyone... decided to try my luck in the video tutorial game... people are always badgering me in game for lessons so I figured why not take this route...
ATTN: I will be taking requests, so if you have a particular tool you need help with, or if you're wondering how someone made a particular contraption you found or anything at all... just post below and ill see what I can do. COMING SOON!!!!! 1. My "Mornin' Farmer Brown" Challenge entry -- it won't be a tutorial... but I'd be more than happy to tutorial anything in it that people are wondering about... if you've been wondering why you've seen no new tutorials from me.... this is why (well in combination with a few other things), I've made some 6 contraptions in this one challenge. 2. Someone had requested me to make an elevator... so ill do it! 3. Pod controlled plane using the mouse to move 4. KITT -- because of the large size of this entry... it's now listed at the bottom of this post. RECENTLY ADDED: 1. Holographic Emitter -- Advanced 2. Plugs/Sockets -- Advanced 3. Camera Controllers -- Advanced 4. Table Gates -- Advanced Bored? Try checking this out: www.robotwars2.com -- it's a game that I made, tell me what you think. Ideas that'll eventually get done but are 'on hold' for over a week: 1. Installing wire -- just uploading it... having errors (havn't tried reuploading (after the second time)... and may not for a while... I'm not sure what's wrong) 2. More time devices 3. Wheels -- soon as I figure out how break works (I never use wheels, I always axis and thruster) BASIC WIRE: Introduction: Viewing tutorials Thrusters & Buttons: Viewing tutorials Hoverballs: Viewing tutorials Hydraulics & Winches: Viewing tutorials Explosives (all): Viewing tutorials Alternative Input & Output: Viewing tutorials Pod Controllers: Viewing tutorials Igniters, Nailers, and Turrets: Viewing tutorials Forcers: Viewing tutorials Speedometers: Viewing tutorials Grabbers: Viewing tutorials User (componant): Viewing tutorials INTERMEDIATE WIRE: Arithmatic Chips: Viewing tutorials Comparrison & Logic Chips: Viewing tutorials Hover-Car: Putting it all together: Viewing tutorials Radios (both kinds and why never to use them): Viewing tutorials Rangers (and a death trap): Viewing tutorials Basic Display: Viewing tutorials Toggle Chip (door with buttons on both sides included): Viewing tutorials Target Finders, Beacon Sensors, and Locators (tracker bot): Viewing tutorials Digital Screen: Viewing tutorials Delta Chips: Viewing tutorials Timers: Viewing tutorials Hoverdrives & GPS (includes beacon sensor GPS): Viewing tutorials Gyroscopes & Perfect Stability: Viewing tutorials Accumulators: Viewing tutorials Pulsers: Viewing tutorials RAM: Viewing tutorials Gcombat + Wire: Viewing tutorials Vector Thrusters: Viewing tutorials Waypoints: Viewing tutorials SELECTION CHIPS: (subcategory) ==Min/Max: Viewing tutorials ==OS Time/OS Date: Viewing tutorials =='If then else': Viewing tutorials ==7 Segment Displays (also how to account for multiple digits): Viewing tutorials ==Value Ranges: Viewing tutorials ==Router (gates): Viewing tutorials ==Selection (choice) Gates + Console Screens: Viewing tutorials ADVANCED WIRE: Expression Gates (WILL BE REVISED): Viewing tutorials Car With Expression: Putting it all together: Viewing tutorials Camera Controllers: Viewing tutorials Holographic Emitters: Viewing tutorials Plugs and Sockets: Viewing tutorials Table Gates: Viewing tutorials Hey everyone, not quite tutorials (well by me anyway) but here's some advice to help all newbies to expressions: Learn a coding language... doesn't need to be an advanced one... infact the first language I ever learned was QBasic, and as the name suggests, it's really basic, even more so than Visual Basic. So here you go, the site upon which I learned it (QBasic): www.qbasicstation.com (oh and yes, I know, the site is fairly dead, but it's still good for tutorials) A download for the language compiler can be found in the member files section (somewhere). ....beyond the tutorials listed on the page itself, in the member files second there is also something called the "QBasics" (notice the plural), and it is a great tutorial series details many advanced features! CONTRAPTION TUTORIALS (almost all are advanced): Gyroscopic Jetpack: Viewing tutorials Helicopter (flys just like a real one [tilts]): Viewing tutorials Anti-n00b Contraption: Viewing tutorials Supermarket Style Grabber Game: Viewing tutorials Jukebox: Viewing tutorials Mouse Aimed Turret: Viewing tutorials Feeler Bot: Viewing tutorials Have fun. PS: I will continue to add new tutorials every several days. PPS: Please watch the advertisements attached with my videos, gets me a few cents for every view that does.. thanks ![]() Details on the KITT project: Summary of it's current state: The expressions work, however a suitable model doesn't exist... thus I will most likely end up making one soon. I'm going to pull out my biggest attempted project... KITT, the Knight Industries Twothousand, the car from Knight Rider (tv show). Although it's not going to emulate precisely as the car in the show, my first version was filled with all sorts of cool features, from lights, to license plates, to a working radio, to a damage system that gradually hurt your car, to a gas system that adjusted based on your gas intake (pedal), to a realistic stearing system, and much much more! I began my second version of this masterpiece a while after, however unfortunately for me it didn't work when I attempted implimentation.... well it's time for V3, I'm going to finish my car, and it's going to be incredible, of this I guarantee. When completed, I will break it down, piece by piece and tutorial each one. KITT has been put on hold. The expressions are correct, however I can't find a suitable way of making the model. Ill probably need to make one myself in 3ds max... oh well... that'll just take longer. Last edited by turck3; 1 Week Ago at 01:18 PM. |

I made em again because I don't want people to search all over the place for all these tutorials... I'm gonna do one on every last thing in wiremod (except the cpu.. I hate assembly, but I will do the e-chip), this way its all centralized.

I've been meaning to do this for about a year, I just couldn't get them compressed correctly... now that that's all changed ill be releasing these types of tutorials daily and then ill try and look for more challenging things like orb did, such as the scribe and holo-sphere as they were just being discovered.
