![]() | 1)First spawn a 1x1 PHX Plate(Metal). 2)Put 1 Wire Thruster in the middle underneath the plate with a Max Thrust of what ever you want, and the Mul has to be 8. 3)Spawn a ranger any where near it. Then Spawn this Expression The expression you need is Code: I@Range O@Thrust Thrust=100-Range-($(Range))5 Edit for anyone who saw it, a part of my code got erased I guess during the copy in paste lol, but its fixed now. All Credits of this code go to Shandolum, The original used the clamp function but it had no use in my opinion from my experiences. 4)Wire the Range Input to Ranger, and Thruster to the Thrust Output. 5)It should now stabilize till it is 100(what ever Gmod measures in) off the ground. 6)IMPORTANT, if you want it to hover correctly, you can apply Keep Upright with an angular limit of 10000 to it, OR you can use Gyro to stabilize the plate. I will be posting a tutorial on how to use gyro to stabilize a 1x1 PHX plate later. If you want to use this code on other objects you will have to experiment with the *5 value in the expression, or the Mul or the thruster. Changing the weight to 50(weight of 1x1 PHX plate) will not work due to its size compared to its mass. Any questions post. If you have any idea how to make this stay stable at a GPS's Z Cord please post. This is when its pushed down by phys gun ![]() And this is where it is lifted up by phys gun. ![]() and here is what it will go to in a matter of mili seconds, no bouncing trying to get at the correct height. ![]() if you combine this with my tutorial of stabilizing with Gyroscope you will not have to use keep Upright to keep this stable, and you can throw it up into the air in any direction at any angle and it will always come down perfectly stable within seconds. I also DID get this to work for my ship, but only hovering above the ground and I messed with the weight and mass of everything and I don't remember what I did, so if someone comes up with a way to figure out the values you need to set for certain objects, post. | Wire Dev - Thruster God ![]() | I usually use one of these in each corner of a plate for a fun ride. :P I already made a small tutorial on the matter, which is hiding in one of the links in my sig... (planning on making it normal again soon my sig, but having some problems finding the original animated gif. And yes, I did the bugness myself, hehe). The tutorials are in the third link in the bottom of the sig. But I haven't formatted the tutorials with the pictures after the jump though. And also seems that most of the things I wrote is missing (don't know why). But I really would like it if a better tutorial like this was up, cause I really haven't made that much new to wiremod, and only hang out here once in a while to see if there is any new development.
