Okay, there has recently been a thread on vectors, and I thought I might as well make a tutorial. This missile requires no expression gate, and uses little to no math at all!
This is from the top of my head so it might not be right.
1. First, spawn a long prop, could be a pole or a stick or something, has to be like a missile. Then at the front of the missile, or back, if you will, connect a beacon sensor, tell it to have anything vector, output vector, all the vector options.
2. Second, on the opposite side, the front of the missile, have a vector thruster with a negative thrust and relatively high thrust, do not go too high, but it should be around -50000 depending on weight.
3. Third, wire Mul to a button, X to X on the beacon, Y to Y, and Z to Z.
4. Fourth, link beacon to a target finder, if you do not do this AFTER linking beacon to the X Y Z and mul, you will get a flood of errors at the top right of your screen.
5. Fifth, press the button and your missile will seek the target.
This missile is pulled by the thruster and not pushed, the thruster is the front of the missile!
Please do not repost this tutorial as your own! If you post this as a video tutorial please give credit!
Vector thrusters would be awesome for a hovering vehicle in my opinion.[/b]
