    Default A use for unused contraptions.

    We no longer have a server.

    Do you, like me, have piles of duplications of contraptions, mainly designed for battles, which you never use? Yes making ultra war machines with wire is fun, but you virtually never use them. They just sit in the duplicator and rot. That is why I think we should use them.

    I think that we would all like to use contraptions like that for their original purpose. War. We have a server, although we don't know for how long it will be up, and anyone who has contraptions like this they never use can join, and we could organize battles. The server would have to have most major addons, and very high limits, if any. I have never seen a real 'War' on Gmod, so that is why I think we should make one.

    So if you have many contraptions which you never have a use for, want to join the server, then work at it.

    Remember, the point of this is to have fun with stuff you never use or use properly.

    Also, you may want to read my response to Pyro-Fire on page 2 if you are worried about minges.

    Server will ideally have have (Bold is what it has currently got/is getting):

    Wiremod (Well duh)
    PHX3
    Stargate
    Smartsnap
    Laser 2
    LS2 (No LS3, just no)
    Uclip
    Unbreakable
    Propeller
    bouyency

    A Mario pack (Not many uses but I can think of a few ^_^)
    UWSVN
    PC Mod
    High limits on everything if any
    Gcombat (Lastest)

    Gbombs (Mabye admin only)
    SBMP
    SBEP
    Any other SB stuff.

    That would be very nice, specially because I'm building a WWII series of vehicles (which is planned to be used with revans gamemode)

    With a fully-evolved Hades (designed to survive Gcombat head-on), a Zeus (orbital laser all-but too far away to shoot), and a few Ares drones (contraption-disintegrating missiles) I could make it pretty dang spectacular to watch.

    Granted, that's likely a long ways off, even if Ares & Zeus are the next pair I'll be developing.

    this is all well and good, only the biggest problem i see is the continuous use of a hoverdrive with a bomb attached to it, or just some contraption copied off gmod which follows a target at very high speed with a bomb on it.

    Not to mention the lack of intelligence required (now-a-days) to build an automated turret, which would also be over-used.

    Also the removal of a single piece relating to a contraption will (most of the time) render it completely useless. This is also a problem that needs to be addressed.

    Find a solution to these problems, and i'll be looking forward to joining your war server.

    If players are to be directly and indirectly involved in combat, it'd need to be a map with some kind of cover, especially around the spawn points.

    Perhaps limit it to bots, warmachines, and vehicles? That alone will reduce the possibilities to weapon-based contraptions almost entirely. The trick then is discerning between "bot" and "death on a leash"
