Bi Directional wire wheel

I'm somewhat new to wire, so bear with me.

Im wanting to make a wire wheel that goes foward and backwards.
Im not sure how to have the Pod controller give 1 (for fowards) and -1 for backwards.
I tried using a Toggle While gate with constant value. with the values being 0 and -1. that works fine like that if its hooked directly to the wheel and pod like that. but when i try to connect both using a Logic Any/or , it doesnt work. Sorry if I didn't explain it very well lol.

Have a subtract gate between the W and S outputs of the pod controller. Or an add gate to add the W and a negated S which you would get via negate chip on the S output.
