No i mean i was just starting to learn a little Java and it uses | for or and & for and != for not equal and also || which is if the first statement is true output true

Basically, it isn't java, nor C, nor VB. It is the expression part of them (equations), which they all basically do the same way. So really, any imperative language that you can name should be rather similar to the expression gate.

The Expression chip isnt working for me i put a ; at the end of the line and it says i need to put a ; iv tried multiple expressions even ones iv used b4 and they all do the same. i even updated wiremod and nuthin happened to the problem.

You don't need to terminate every line with a semi-colon. It's only used as the terminator for the if statement:

# This needs a terminator:
InUrBase == 1 -> concommand("say killin' ur d00dz");

# This doesn't:
Over9000 += 5
