I don't understand what you were talking about with checking out to a documents folder and exporting, but I found out why it was doing what it was. In the same window where you give the checkout the SVN URL, you have a checkout directory. For some reason, it appended an extra "wiremod" folder at the end, meaning it was "\garrysmod\garrysmod\addons\wiremod" and I just had to remove the wiremod part at the end and it works like usual.

Well y'know how you checkout to the addons folder right, instead checkout to any other folder, then right click on wiremod folder, say tortoise svn, export, then choose garrysmod/garrysmod/addons it will then place everything you need into your addons folder, and g-mod will run faster then normal. Then go inside the new wiremod folder and move the adv. dupe, wire, wire model pack folders into the addon folder.

Hey, i just downloaded it, and i did what you said (or at least think so), but now it keeps the original download-folder updated instead of the files used by gmod. Is that what you intended?

I downloaded the files to my desktop to a new folder i named "new folder"(i know, i am ultra-creative), then i used the rmb-menu to extract them to my addons folder. After this i had a "new folder" in addons, so i copy-pasted it's contents into addons. everything was workin fine and dandy, but later on i noticed a green check-mark on the desktop folder, but i didn't see it on the exported one. When i wanted to delete the temporary desktop-folder windows faulted, saying it was in use. Ofcourse i can turn of svn(or at least i think i could) and delete the file, but i'm thinkin that's not the way..

so now i redownloaded everything directly into addons, and i started deleting the folders inside "new folder" through rmb>svn>delete, and all of those are gone or marked by an X, yet still i can not delete the folder itself.

There's hidden ".svn" folders in there. You'll have to enable the display of hidden folders

i always set that so it displayes hidden folders, so i already deleted that one

Hmmm, with what i said, i ment in the tortoise svn rmb menu say export, don't know how to fix your problemo though.

Hi there,
I'm having problems with installing Wiremod.
I installed the SVN client, restarted my PC and I am now trying to "SVN-checkout".
When I try to, I just get the following error:

Command: Checkout from svn://wiremod.com/wiremod, revision HEAD, Fully recursive, Externals included  
Error: Can't connect to host 'wiremod.com': Es konnte keine Verbindung hergestellt   
Error: werden, da der Zielcomputer die Verbindung verweigerte.  
Finished!

Yea, I know it's german, but the important part is english: "Can't connect to host 'wiremod.com'"
So, what shall I do now?
