Wiremod Svn Guide

can you use svn to update more than one thing like wire AND the hydrogen systems life support addon?[/b]

i have Wiremod SVN Hydrogen SVN and VMF suit beta SVN,

To do that do this :

1. use SVN Wire on your addon folder.
2. Go into your Addons folder and delete the file called .svn (its hidden so you need to disable hide hidden files).
3. use the hydrogen SVN on you addons folder.
4. delete the .svn folder agean.

now everytime you check for a update you need to rightclick on every folder with a green V on it and click update,
takes a bit more time but you get 2 (or more) SVN's in your addons folder.

I do have the Hydrogen life support mod but I was not aware there was an SVN version of it. Someone have a link to the Hydrogen SVN thing?


Uninstall Steam itself? Interesting... is this just to make it work with Wire? Because I've had errors like this before and they got solved by simply removing the addon (thankfully they weren't any I really cared about). If I do have to reinstall EVERYTHING on Steam and Steam itself (I hope I can find the CD for it... ) , can someone tell me what folders I should keep if I want to save my current addons, save games, duplicator saves, etc?

Hey i tried doing this svn wire with tortoiseSVN and im getting the same exact problem as Wokkel and cbale2000. I have tried deleting some other mods and addons since this used to happen a lot when things conflicted. that did not help and i am still having the problem if anyone can help thanks in advance.

Why must I delete the advanced duplicator?
I like it, but will the SVN include an adv. duplicator that will reference data/advanced duplicator/ADV.SAVEDFILE.txt
So I can load my contraption in my server?

I Like this SVN Idea. But when I right click on a Map I get this SVN update and all other SVN stuffs can I get ride of that ? is there no way I can like open something to Update cuz I have like 50 stupid things on my right click and I hate it

I keep getting this error. how can i fix it?


EDIT: i tried playing in a server and all my wire stuff makes big red errors

I'm getting the same type of error, but with a different directory:

Error: Can't move 'E:\Steam\SteamApps\kymagic\garrysmod\garrysmod\ad dons\wire\lua\entities\gmod_wire_nailer\.svn\tmp\e ntries' to 'E:\Steam\SteamApps\kymagic\garrysmod\garrysmod\ad dons\wire\lua\entities\gmod_wire_nailer\.svn\entri es': Access is denied.

How is this fixed?

Remove the folder, and do checkout again should solve it.
