I am sorta a noob here, but what is so bad about puting wiremod content on garrysmod.org? It can't hurt the people that use svn. I was infact turned on to wiremod by trying it out first using garrysmod.org. If there is a problem, I would like to know, as many of my friends want wire and its kind of a pain in the butt to download tortise svn. Like I said, let me know if there is a problem with garrysmod.org.

Ps. The name of the user that apparently uploaded it was "wire team"

The "wire team" upload is the official garrysmod.org upload.
The reason 3rd party uploads are not allowed is it makes it a hassle to support. You end up with people downloading outdated or corrupted revisions from garrysmod.org, and wondering why x feature is broken. They then come here and complain loudly about a problem that was fixed months ago for those who use SVN.

Limiting distribution to the official SVN, and periodic official releases on garrysmod.org makes it easier to sort out problems.

I don't really see what the huge problem is about installing Tortoise. It's a piece of cake if you follow the instructions, and it means you can have up-to-the-minute updates.

Makes sense that you guys would do this because I hate going through a bunch of the exact same stuff on garrysmod.org

You are allowed to put SVNs of Wire on Garrysmod.org

Read the license file:
