Default Why isn't there a HiSpeed data type?

I am thinking because that it would break everything hispeed, but if the inputs are named the same, I don't see how. But I haven't taken a look at the wiremod code so I could be wrong.

HiSpeed isn't a datatype thats why ^_^ anything HiSpeed either goes through wirelinks, or the CPU stuff i think

For a CPU, the HiSpeed link is called Memory, and is just a number datatype. For E2 it is a Wirelink datatype.

Yeah, wirelink is pretty much a HiSpeed datatype equivalent. I think the devs are trying to keep HiSpeed a little bit seperated from wire too, since HiSpeed is quite radically different from base wiremod.

Just like jacoby6000 said, it's because HiSpeed isn't a datatype. It's a type of link, not data transferred through that link.

My tutorials: applyTorque - Quaternions - PID controllers
Some other things I made: FT Chip - RK4 Solar System

K, I understand that now, but wouldn't it be better to give it its own type so that people cannot try and wire normal numbers to it? (Even though anyone using highspeed devices would be intelligent enough not to do that.)

You're actually supposed to wire normal numbers to hispeed links (because that doesn't really matter for the links).

Apparently, I don't have a good understanding of it. I know it works like RAM where you read/set individual addresses.

Curse that "Go Advance" button that erases my post.
