Yes that was what bugging me too tolyzor.. Cheers for the idea, it looks really nice

    Edit:
Autodesk Softimage Mod Tool Version 7.5
It's apparently not as good as blender or 3dmax, but I like it personally the best.
    Oh, and it's free

I won't be writing any tutorials in the near future, I've started modeling this week.

And I totally suck at writing tutorials anyway...
I can't get general information out of my head in a text for others to understand.
I tried to write an E2 optimizing guide a couple of times, but I totally failed.

Give me a problem and I can try to help.

Definately make more. Those are amazing. The lower poly-counts and texture sizes plus the higher quality model/texture achieved = WIN

How about some new E2 models? I get kinda sick of the chip sometimes.

Hmm, the grill texture looks kinda "cut-off" if you know what I mean. I think it would be better if you made some kind of border between the grill texture and the grey texture. Now it looks like someone has glued it on. Also, that texture was kind of low-res/bad-quality, but if there aren't any better, it's ok.

And what do you mean adding gimbals? Doesn't the gyro already have gimbals?

    EDIT:

What do you think about using a texture looking like this (without shading):

Couldn't find any better at the moment.

I'd say that texture quality looks about right, these are tiny tiny things.
But I'm guessing that texture could cause a bit of aliasing at common distances or generally just become a grey fudge.

I would personally have removed some of the border around it all, having it there means it becomes kind of bulky and just something round, instead of focusing on the "lens" which actually is the defining feature.

Use the grey outer texture inside aswell. Would look better in my opinion.
