Isn't the internet a fun place? I thought this would've been preventable by now...

Lol this one happened to my server about 4 times this week. You know whats great? Yesterday was my birthday. I got on from a good night's sleep, and call one of my admins on Skype. He asplained to me what happened, and gave me a text file with all the details. It was like "Happy birthday, King, you got haxed." I just luled. Anyway, thanks for the info. I need a security manager O.O Anyone want to apply XD ?

It seems to me that "Chrisaster" is also applying another virus. On the server I am an Admin on, a random player would experience flashing(seizure indusing) lights. This is also occured with a Youtube video playing "OH S*** #Distorted screeching for 5 mins#". I have a feeling it is Chrisaster as I remember seeing him(His name) enter the server and later kicked(not sure by anti-idle script or by admin).

Seriously can someone report this person to Valve?

I won't expect any support from valve, since Garry just implented lua in the source engine aswell as the loads of functions hooks. atleast that is what i think. Same as installing bullshit of addons to the server which make the possibility's or the chance of an succes higher to get "Hacked". Correct me if im wrong

Meh, you'd still need a fresh install of the OS (or a backup) for whatever VM you're using. There's no such thing as native Linux GMod servers, unless I missed something epic happen.

Im using wine (Emulates windows as well, not using a virtual machine ^^) , so it should only remove the stuff wine is using. and reinstalling that isn't sugh a big point.

My server was infected by some kind of lua virus, because few random players joined it, left and after that whole gamemode stopped working, i tought, some part of script crashed or something, but restarting server wasn't helping, reinstalling gamemode neither. It looked like some of the basic functions weren't workin.
