I don't think there's a script...
give them a chance.
get admins
they'll lower the....you having to say it kind of thing.
The title of my server clearly says it's a wire build server. The majority of the people who join my server don't even HAVE Wiremod and, of course, start asking "why do I see errors", followed by "what does it do? where do I download it?? how do I install it lolol????". When they join, the scripts are downloaded, but the models are not. I'm getting really tired of it. Is there anything I can do? Maybe a script that can detect if they have it installed and auto-kick them if they don't?
If it was just an occasional problem .. I wouldn't really care.. but it happens constantly.
Put "[WIRE SVN REQ.]" in the name of your server.
Bind a key to "say www.wiremod.com".
If they say they see errors or ask where to download it, press the key.
Then kick and ban them for a week.
By the time they come back they may have figured it out.
Tough love, tough love.
Yea same problem on our server "OMG LAGAGAG CRAP SERVER BYE N00BS"..morons![]()
I've thought about the possibility of adding all models as resources, but I'm guessing it is a lot to download from a server, alot. So I really don't think that is to recommend.
But I'm guessing it would be possible to only register some default models which are downloaded, and if a model doesn't exist, the default ones are used instead client side, less to download. But some work to do I guess.
It probably wouldn't work out to well in the end but you could make the prop maximum for each player real low so they couldn't really make anything besides wire stuff.
Supplying an optional file via the forum allowing servers to force the wiremod stuff to be downloaded should work, shouldn't it?I've thought about the possibility of adding all models as resources, but I'm guessing it is a lot to download from a server, alot.
