92% of teens have moved onto rap. If you are part of the 8% that still listen to real music, copy and paste this into your signature.
98% of teens smoke, or have smoked before in their life. If you are part of the 2% that hasn't/doesn't, copy this into your sig.

I don't like using the "WM" initials, Waste Management Inc kinda has that one claimed here in N. America.

Well before looking at the picture please bear with me. A good logo defines something with a simple yet original look. Any of us can point out the HL2 logo without hesitation, so I starred at that for awhile, and realized a few things:
-You don't need to see HL2 to realize the logo
-There is a defining symbol (The Lambda)
- Small Color Palette
- Bold Shapes
So with that, we need a defining symbol organize in an easy to recognize design. I hope that after I post this more people suggest simple symbols such as a spliced wire, a chip, a plug, the "black box", a robot, or something that has to do with wires, versatility, programming, computing, robotics, or circuitry (a recurring theme that I see in this thread for logos).
A search on google images of a few words led me to the idea of the end of a cut wire (the copper coming out of its housing) inside of a thick box. The wire with "wiremod" in a courier font on the side made to look like the wires label is wiremod. Just like that of any other wire you buy and has something like "RJ-45 Cross Over Cable" repeated down its length. I've also thought about just using one color for the entire logo, and maybe making the color Blue because peoples signatures are telling me it means intelligence.
I sketched this design up in Adobe Flash real quick just to see how it MAY come out. I think it has great potential with a low color palette and simple/clean edges.
Ignore the white around the black box.
Even though the sketch came out a bit to bold and me using the brush left it sloppy, you can see what I want to do. Right now, I just want suggestions and a developing view as to what should be different in the final outcome.
I will post back with either more ideas, or a more refined "prototype"
