No do what one of my posts said, checkout to documents, xport to addons then move wire, adv. dupe and wire model pack folders out of wiremod folder into addon folder then delete wiremod folder.

I'm having trouble understanding why you want to go through all that (potentially confusing) trouble when you can just as easily do it the original way:
checkout the garrysmod/garrysmod/addons folder and on the 2nd line, that says

C:\...\garrysmod\garrysmod\addons\wiremod

remove the "\wiremod" part at the end so it reads

C:\...\garrysmod\garrysmod\addons

instead. Now you can just hit update on the addons folder and everything is fine, no need to worry about moving stuff or exporting to what folder where. One step.
