Coppa Ban? [UNRESOLVED] Banned for no reason? [INVESTIGATING]

The recent forum update introduced some new required fields for users under 13 years of age, due to the US COPPA laws. As such, all users who the COPPA applies to have been autobanned.

This was unintentional. I have set up a temporary email address wiremodhelp (at) anticeptsworld dot net. You can send an email to it with the subject "COPPA Ban" and content must only include your account name exactly how it appears on this forum. I'll get the account unabnned.

If you have PM's turned off, or haven't kept your email up to date, too bad. You will have to keep trying to login.

You can also jump on our IRC channel and get help. Remember the IRC rules.

It also banned some people who were well over 13 years old. Looking into this.

EDIT2: I am no longer PMing fixed accounts. My box is getting swarmed. Just try back every once in a while, and send another mail if I don't get it fixed within 24 hrs.

Will Faron be changing the registration to remove this or can that not be done.
Alot of garrysmod and wiremod users are under 13.

It cannot be removed for legal reasons..... new registrants who are under the age of 13 will be able to get working accounts without any trouble, they'll just need a parent's email/approval..... it's the old accounts which are having trouble because a parent email was never specified.

I've run down the list of approvals and had to manually activate all the coppa users. Most have been approved, but some people are stuck in limbo. They appear to be in the COPPA approval group, but are NOT listed in the approval queue. These accounts cannot easily be hunted down, so keep the emails coming while we continue investigating.
