I have seen a few threads where some admins dont like it and others are okay with it.

I would report but I always think to my self:

'Reporting because of useless messages and bumps? Pointless'
And seeing an infraction all the time 'for being a dumbass' is annoying D:
If I report, will you remove that from the list? :P

Personally I've stepped away from the pre-filled infractions most of the time. An warning / infraction for "Being a dumbass" is a too vague reason in my opinion. A custom infraction gives better information.

However, I can't talk for other moderators.
I can't make any promises on the removal of the standard "dumb-ass" infraction, that's not for me to decide.

There is no rule against that.

"2 minute contraption" is very relative by the way.
What is 2 minutes for one, can take another person 2 days to build / figure out.

If he succeeds and is proud of his creation, shouldn't he be allowed to share because it's considered too easy / already made?

I also guess that I'm in no position to dispute the rules, but what if someone threadcromances a thread, but you want to make a post in that thread? Should you just tell him not to in your post, report and post, or just post?

It's not against any rules to bump an old thread, it is when you do it with "Lulz" or "Code plz".

If you have a good reason to post in that thread, you should post.
But don't add a comment to notify him of his necro-post. There is no point in that.

Just report, then appropriate action can be taken and we don't have to delete /edit your post as well.
