I am getting the error:
Attempted to create unknown entity type damage_scaler!
weapons\gmod_tool\stools/dscale.lua:28: attempt to index local 'w' (a boolean value)
When I try to spawn it.

Passed a possible fix for it

I get the error too always when I try to create one.![]()
I was able to get this to work. Try the Unofficial Wire-Extras SVN (UWSVN). I'm not sure what the difference was, but this seemed to do the trick for me.
Hope this helps.
And now i have another issue... :/
It seems to have issues when using more than one Damage scale.
When there are more than one, if you shoot one of them, it will out put the damage through a random.
ie: I hooked two of them up to separate screens, and shot one of them. Sometimes it would pop up on it's own screen, and sometimes it would pop up on the opposite one.
Other glitches: No wires visible to the "On" and "Refresh" inputs. Cannot be named with the Namer tool.
I have committed a fix into the UWSVN and updated the version in this thread. The worst glitches have been fixed, as in the amount spawned at any one time.
Enjoy!

I registered on this forum entirely so I could download this wiremod part. Brilliant work, Hitman271. People say that you can just use a Wired Explosive and so on which is true but I would rather have this part, that does exactly what it is meant to with finesse. I also like the model changing functionality, which is extremely weird but once again, does just what you want.
I am trying to build a boat held together with Wired Latch welds, connected to Damage Scales. The plan is simple: When the total damage from three Scales adds to over 300, trigger a comparison gate that blows all the welds.
When I wire it up initially, it works perfectly. The boat falls apart when I fire a rocket at the center sensor.
My first problem is: You do apparently have to wire something to the "On" input, in spite of your updated first post saying that V. 2 of Damage Scale defaults to On. Am I doing something wrong?
The other problem that I'm having is, as reported, Adv Dup doesn't replicate the wiring at all for this. I can rewire it of course, but is there something I can change to fix this? I'm barely what you might call a Wiremod power user, let alone an editor/programmer, but I'm on a bit of a crusade. I would absolutely go through every single last wiremod part on earth and ensure that it works with Advanced Duplicator if someone told me how. (Some of the Wiremod release parts don't even work with it. I never want to wire up the same damn Text Screen ever again!)
Thanks!
It seems that the many, many glitches are fixed except for the adv duplicator. I have no idea how to add adv dup support to it, but would do it if I knew how.
Also, the starting on part is only in the UWSVN at the moment. Unofficial Wire-Extras SVN (UWSVN)
I looked and saw that the on-starting is only in the uwsvn, the init. file should have self.on = 1
