Done. Please try it quickly and report every bug you found. I have to go back at school (which is 700 km away from my home) tomorrow, and Garry's Mod may not work over there.

Do a SVN update of your Wiremod.

* bump *

I finally got Garry's Mod working on my laptop at school, despite this damn proxy Steam Buster FTW
So I won't have to wait 6 more weeks before playing GMod again.

But it seems that very few people are interested by my addon. If there is something wrong with it, please tell me, it needs many improvements, and I'm still a noob Lua coder.

I've just noticed that this may look very similar to Wire Keycards (especially when comparing this picture with this one.), but it's completely different, since data is directly implanted on the object/player, and can be read by buttons and proximity sensors.

I see nothing wrong with it, keycards have there place, this has its place, this is beter for some things.... anyways, i always thought keycards needed a more keycard look to be truly great, this needs no look to be truely great.... *idea* RFID inplant a keycard.... have 2 data things in one..... mu ha ha ha....
<[Fe]Q-tip> you making a rube goldberg device?
<yuriks> a catapult, I need a trigger
<yuriks> to release the counter weight
<[Fe]Q-tip> exlosive barrel
<PureRage|GMod> Yeah. Weld it to an explosive barrel.
<yuriks> =D great ideia
<foszor> only in garrys mod is "welding something to an explosive barrel" a good idea

I've already made things work with IFF with this, I find it incredibly useful.

Only gripe I have is the target filter breaks the target finder sometimes.

Haha, why not. It's quite fun because you can implant a RFID into nearly everything. Even in a pet headcrab or.... a combine ball.

Glad to see it's useful. Can you find out exactly in which cases the target filter breaks the target finder so I fix it ?

Edit : I have exams this week, but when they will be over (this week-end), I will work on a kind of secret read-only string ID system. So if you implant a RFID into a object with a secret ID, only implanters and readers with this same ID will be able to read/write into it. May be quite useful for credit cards in RP.

'Fraid all I can say is that I told it not to target 3, 4, 5, 3 on vehicles only, and when I hooked up the filter to the finder it wouldn't target any vehicles.

I guess I did it wrong if this is working for everyone else.

I really need a specific GMDI RFID.

This is an awesome idea, lol, I injected myself with "666", mark of the beast

Maybe you could use this technique to augment the player with more data.....for example, would it be possible to alter the player's health or things like the speed they move? Perhaps teleport them to a specific location?
