xyzw are 1234 on that, at the Lua level.
How do you define in input/output though? Something:vector doesn't allow anything other than 3d vectors through it.

    D'oh >.<

And here I was trying "vec4" thinking that the variable type would match its creation declaration - bah.

Also - I didn't see anything about how to use vector4 I/O on the wiki, only how to use them internally on an E2 - update parchance?

the extension tutorial has a description of all the types
all except (3d) vector are like that on the wire as well.

that line is the most interesting for you:
Type name: vector4 (this is what you use behind the colon, upper-case version of this is what you use as your input type.)
    Type ID: XV4 (something E2-internal)
Description: A numeric Lua table representing a 4D vector. (How to make and interpret them)
    Example: { 1, 2, 3, 4 } ( { x, y, z, w } )

    (my remarks in parens)

    Thanks!

I've been using my modified debugger to look up what -exactly- E2's set their types to, but any help is very appreciated.

that table lists every single type in E2 and except for VECTOR and ANGLE, everything applies to the rest of wiremod as well.
VECTOR is just a gmod Vector(...)
    ANGLE is a gmod Angle(...)
