    How about a field that only repulsed near the field's borders? It would work just like the shield from stargate except that it would always contain and repulse and it would not require energy. Also, the added possibility of changing the radius of the shield would be advantageous in some situations.

    EDIT: Just found another use for the static field. If you attach a high strength field to a ship, it functions as an unbelievably quick airbrake.

    Do you think a time field would be possible? What I mean is a field that either slows, stops or speeds up time inside the radius of the field depending on the multiply input.

    I don't think so, time is based on the 'time interval multiplier' and I don't see anyway to set this on a per object basis, it appears to be a global setting only, and this can already be set via the menu.

    Well what I was thinking was maybe you could make the field work like this addon Time Control V4 Download!, so that when you put a 1 in the multiplier it would put time regularly, and if you put it at 0 time would stop time in the field.

    Well I got this from the UNWSVN and every time I used the repulse field it woul not repulse the objects I threw at it, it just nudjed them slightly, I might try using it again without the UNWSVN.

    A no-collide field that makes every inside it not collide with each other would be great.

    and may save some server crashes here and there :P

    Hmm, for the repulsion field, you probably just need a increase the magnitude or distance, the UWSVN copy is the same as the one linked here in the thread, and it can do some crazy things.

    A No-Collide field.. seems like it could very easily get out of hand, but I might look into it.
