It's looking awesome.
Keep up the good work!
When could we be expecting a Beta?
Hi guys, just a quick notice: I'm looking to use Wire2 as a base for the inputs and outputs. As of this week, I'm doing the last of the models (that may take a week or 2 depending on what else I'm doing) and then I'll be ready to see what Erkle and the others have changed Lua-wise in wire.
State change and event based wire systems have the good potential to reduce lag, especially when combined with my current radio mod design.
It's looking awesome.
Keep up the good work!
When could we be expecting a Beta?
I don't plan to release a beta because then serveral versions will be floating around. I want to implement the design (which I have here in front of me) and make sure it works 100%, then I'll submit it.
You may see something in the next 2 weeks, you may see something in the next 2 months, depending on how much other people require other stuff of me in the short term.
It's certainly coming soon...
For now, have a play with my other mod, earthquake mod to pass the time![]()
Ok folks, I added a new model, the big microwave drum, so here's a sneak preview:
![]()
5 models done, 6 to go, but the rest will be quicker now because I'm dedicating specific time to do it rather than before, where it had to fit around other things. (I'll be modeling or lua coding every other day now until I release v1.0)
I just had this idea of an addition to this... A morse encoder and decoder!!!
Imagine you are sending a hidden message. You add a morse encoder, put the output to the radio's signal input. Then you wire a constant number (your secret translation number) to an input in the morse (encoder number input) and then you wire a keypad to another input (message input) Then you just start transmitting. A decoder then needs two inputs: the signal, and the encoder number. Then it outputs the text. With wrong number, it just translates some gibberish. It can be about any simple calculation for the encoder. Like... change letters to numeric and then add the number to it. So when someone decodes it with wrong number, it substracts that wrong number, and does not get to the original text, instead it prints out some gibberish.
Keep up the excellent work, Philxyz! I think I can speak for everyone when I say we are looking forward immensely to the release of this.
@AtomicTroop Hey, if you want to work together, I've been working on an expression chip for encrypting and decrypting information.
AtomicTroop, what you are talking about, is hash encryption. With string handling in Wire 2, i think it would be possible. Until then, we can practice with number encryption.
Nova on the old boards.
Right, once this system arrives you will be able to make any encryption system that you can shove through the wires. It'll be a fascinating platform for a whole new range of experiments
Imagine a train or car that navigates using radio beacons.
Its coming!

Pointless things that are pointless, are pointlessly pointless, therefore pointlessness is pointless.
So pointlessly pointing out the pointlessness of this pointless signature is utterly pointless.

Any news from the front? I really like the Idea.
I hope it doesn't die as most ideas.
