Wire Directional Radios!

Hi guys, well I had a small problem with the HL2 export script for blender but I've sorted it now. The drum is quite small and it's not the most "fun" of the antennas but it's there for completeness.

The final list of antennas for version 1.0 of Radio Mod will be:

Log Periodic (the metal TV antenna)
Patch Panel (the diamond white one)
Cell Sector
Small Drum
Large Drum with red lightning symbol on the front top (coming next)
Domestic Dish (small satellite dish: think - sky minidish)
Uplink Dish (center focused white ground station dish for beaming to satellites / other planets)
Orbital Dish (the kind of satellite dish used on satellites themselves. They're kind of different)
Large Omni (big whip antenna)
Small Omni (small whip antenna)

Now I've fixed blender, I can carry on with the rest xD

here's a quick preview of the drum - it's not the most interesting one because they're all white - so you may have to rotate is for best polarization gain :-)

Due to a small delay I was knocked back again. But fear not, because I now have some more time and I've nearly finished the models.

Half the problem is that Garrys mod is too damn addictive. (Gotta get over my late night spacebuild addiction)


I want to finish the 3 or 4 more complicated models over the coming 2 weeks so I can get on and code it all up. I'm doing this 1 step at a time because modelling can be a bit tricky and I'd rather get it done first before I move on to the code

The good news is, I pretty much know how I'm going to code it so that part won't take as long

I have to say, once these radios come, I'll be having some fun. I've always wanted to make a 'hyperspace' corridor in spacebuild using the hoverdrive and a system of GPS 'beacons' but limitations with the current radios have put a stop to my efforts. With this, I may be able to achieve the effect I desire.

I would realy like to people online using encrepted messages and nice radios for a change.

I plan to take 2 or 3 months from this point, there are a lot of things happening in my life this month and next but I'll be using all my free moments to continue with this fun project.

I want these radios as much as you guys do
