Ok, no problem. Well, it's in there anyway now so I'll leave it in there. But it's not supposed to be community developed yet because I'm not at version 1.0.0

Just nobody change anything yet or I'll keep reverting it - I can't keep track of 2 versions

Maybe I'm just being dense here but why is the channel 1 signal (dB) weaker than the other 7 channels?

Oh and no, I didn't read through the whole thread... *ashamed*

EDIT: only when I use Mhz range 13 - and up to 18 (randomly tested between there). On 12Mhz it's fine and on 11 it's weird again. It actually weakens the first channel signal strength only when I've changed the signal strenght AFTER changing the frequency. Weird, methinks.

EDIT2: It seems that whenever CH1 dB equals other channels the CH1 Data doesn't update while other channels update just fine but when CH1 is different (around 20dB less than others) it does. Of course the signal strength needs to be above the treshold.

Thanks for the help the problem was that the transmit power was over 200 watts

Make sure you're using the very latest version, R5

Also, if you don't tune exactly to the centre frequency, the signal drops off sharply both sides of that frequency.

Yup, R5, since it's in the wiremodextras.

For the test setup I used the small_omni antennas, both sharing one constrant value chip for frequency and using an adv input for power adjustment. So, exactly same frequency on both should provide best results, no? ???

Also, WDRs don't seem to dupe properly (adv dupe svn updated yesterday, methinks). I tested it just now with spawning a transmitter and a receiver, welding them together, saving with advdupe, load&spawning the dupe and both were receivers only (only BaseMHz inputs on both).

I've been planning on using these as a very short range data link to ferry control signals from a small dockable pilot ship to a large cargo hull (SB3,btw) since this does seem to have faster update rate than the Data Transferrer. So it'd be kind nice not having to recreate the radio setup after every spawn...

Ok, I'm off to work now, almost 8am here. Cheers.

I might look at the dupe when I have time.

    Thanks, that'd be much appreciated.

Back from work (obviously, DUH!) and on to 'work' building mah dockable cockpit...

EDIT: Oh and now that I've got a new gmod server (listen) server session running, spawning my 'adv dupe test' from last night spawns the radios as mere models, no wire functionality present. As I spawned them last night, they still had receiving input visible, but now there's none... just FYI, phil.

Not that I changed anything in that time because I've been making GlobalRP compatible with SB3.

    SVN updated with 1.0.0b-R6

This update makes Radio Systems auto-compatible with both Resource Distribution 2 and 3 (whichever you are using)

Once the Advanced dupe input bug is fixed, I will move to version 1.0.0-RC1 release candidate.
