Damn, i was 14 hours to late for release.

Okay, but now I downloaded it, and already tested it. But I got one question: Isn't a omni-antenna supposed to send in all directions?

So, if i place one omni antenna to send, and another one to receive, i should be able to get a signal over big part of a map, right?

Because, right now i only get a signal if i place second omni-antenna very precise in a specific direction (like, go forward from the view of sending omni antenna, but if you go forward, not a bit to the sides)

The antennas are set up to be quite precise and don't forget that you need quite a bit of power.

The antennas transmit forward in a cone (or in a ball in the case of the omnis) - when you are receiving a duff value, it is normally because you are out of range or not lined up properly.

Thanks for the feedback so far!

Energy is 1 watt = 1 unit of energy per second - but that is to transmit all 8 channels, and I treat each channel as having transmitted that 1 watt independently - maybe I should make it consume 8 times the power but that might be overkill, it's sort of alright how it is, though not technically correct

Hmm... When I get two omni's too close they're unable to send data :/

Bug or feature? 'Cos this could be useful for stuff where bi-directional data is required.

Keep up the good work philxyz!

Now I just wish someone could make turnable dials, I requested them along time ago, but they would be awesome for this mod.

And also, would it be possible to simulate radiowaves bouncing on certain surfaces or props. Like, echo. If so then we could simulate sonar and radar hitting "metal" objects.

Reflection, distortion etc might just be out of scope of what I was going for... not to mention more than just a little laggy.

    Good idea though.

Err, a bit buggy. Just setting the wattage on an antenna with no power connected will damage you if you get close. Also, it seems like they're way picky and neither of the cell antennas do anything for me.

I tried this and loved! It's working pretty well and antenna models are good also. It's just that you should put a "Create on flat surface"-mode so you can easily put antennas to different places, for example, Sector antenna is pissing me off because I have to spawn them and then place them. Also, could you make us some radiation pattern maps or something like that so it could be easier to position those lovely antennas without overlapping (easier for basestation building. . .) ?

Well, it's handy that transmitters are "intergrated" to antenna, but still i'm missing separate transmitter thingys, where you could connect antenna....

I'm just about to download this and try it out; it looks a bit intimidating from what I've read, but hopefully I'll be able to figure it out when I actually start to play with it.
