Hi dudes, for the last week or so, I've been unable to start Steam games due to an incompatibility between wine and Steam. I've now managed to solve the issue (disabled community mode in-game), and plan to carry on working on this mod this week / weekend.

Thanks for your patience! The result will be worth the wait

    wooo!
    i love the idea
because you're using wire2 as a base, will we have to wait until wire2 is released before you can release this??

    OH MY GASPERS!

    A Wire Positioning System???

    That would be immense!

Space Build has acquired gravity, and they've fixed the "space friction" so an orbiting system of satellites sending a beacon signal would be entirely possible

Pointless things that are pointless, are pointlessly pointless, therefore pointlessness is pointless.
So pointlessly pointing out the pointlessness of this pointless signature is utterly pointless.

Why don't we have agree ratings here
98% of teens smoke, or have smoked before in their life. If you are part of the 2% that hasn't/doesn't, copy this into your sig.

Yes, but also because it will probably be around that time that the lua is nearly complete, and I don't want to write 2 versions - I think it would confuse people.

    The requirements will be

    - Wire2
    - Life Support2 / Resource Distribution 2 optional (if these are installed, the transmitter and receiver chips need energy to operate, one unit of energy per second per watt)

Oh my.. if using 1000W Transmitter, it drains batteries kinda quickly.. Maybe we just should make a fusion reactor basis for
    satellite building

You won't need 1000 watts for a satellite - The first SKY Satellite in the UK (Astra 1A) could cover the whole of western europe using 45 watts per channel.

    Direction and gain are everything.

It should be possible to gather enough energy using solar panels.

Assuming a solar panel is collecting 10 units of energy per second, if you are receiving and retransmitting just one channel on your satellite, you can set your transmit power to 10 watts. It would make sense though (obviously) to have enough panels to recharge the batteries on-board so that when it goes to the dark side of the planet, it can still transmit
