I think I found a bug. I have a E2 that outputs the vector of a player. The vector outputs perfectly, turrets aim at it, applyForce() goes to it (when made a local vector). But if I wire the Vector output to a Adv Hud Indicator, even if I make the vector local, the HUD shows the vector at the exact map center, no matter how it changes. I've tried the Indicator with a Target Finder and it works just fine.

    EDIT:
    Experiment!

    Target Finder (Vector): Shows correctly.
    Target Finder (XYZ): Shows correctly.
E2 (XYZ made with external gate):Shows correctly.
    E2 (XYZ made internally):Shows correctly.
    E2 (Vector):Stuck at 0,0,0!

Both the finders were confirmed locked on to the target.

I've not been on GMod in quite some time now, but unless something has changed with the vector code in wiremod, that should work... can you try using an XYZ -> vector gate -> Adv. HUD setup and see if the indicator moves that way.

If that works, then there's something weird going on with E2's vector outputs (as compared to when I wrote the the Adv. HUD)

I got the E2's XYZ outputs and used a external gate to make them a vector, then sent it to the Adv Hud, as you asked. It worked fine.

Must be some difference between the way e2's vector outputs work and regular vector gates.

I'm pretty swamped with work at the mo though, so I won't have time to dedicate to this until Monday next week at the earliest - the only reason I even saw your post is because the forums emailed me it!

For now, consider the xyz --> HUD method the official workaround. Sorry!

Aren't there separate gates for handling E2 vectors and regular (from other vector gates) in the gates list? I think I've seen them around, probably when I was creating a vector from numpad outputs...

Those gates seem to convert single numbers to vectors or something o_o

Last time I tried, the Adv Hud worked fine with E2s vector outputs.
