Why do I feel like I made that before... I probably never svn'd it :V
The XYZ beacon entity has 3 inputs, X Y and Z, and can be linked to a beacon sensor. It lets you use GPS coordinates with the target finder system directly.
I also added a n Eject input to the socket entity.
To install the XYZ beacon just extract xyzbeacon.zip into your wire/lua folder.
For the updated socket just replace init.lua in gmod_wire_socket under entities.
EDIT:
A lot of people really don't understand what this addon does, so I'm going to explain it as best I can. It has 3 inputs, X Y and Z. If you have the X Y and Z coordinates of a target or location you want to use with a beacon sensor, but can't specifically target it, like a point on the ground for instance, input the coordinates of whatever place you want to target to the XYZ beacon. A good example of why you would use this is for targeting something that target finders can't track, such as if you want to bomb a place on the ground you found with a ranger. You then link the XYZ beacon to a beacon sensor just like you would a target finder, by right clicking the beacon sensor with the beacon sensor tool, then right clicking the XYZ beacon itself. I really don't think I can make it any more clear.

Sweet! Can we get this into the svn?
This is the one of the greatest addons ever, is it in the svn yet? I have made so many things with it.
SVN please.
Please for the love of god SVN I made a thread asking for this, except the way I was saying it was to add XYZ directly to the beacon sensor, but I'm fine with this method.
Thanks for making the link in my thread Doticatto!!!
EDIT
I can't download, upload to garrysmod.org please, unless its already in wire svn.

(='.'=) PM me code and I'll send it back optimized if possible. (I find it fun dammit!)

yeah all the downloads directly from this forum have gone wacky
Isnt this the same as "Split X,Y,Z" of the beacon sensor..?
I don't think so... with this awesome tool you can input x y z cords into the XYZbeacon and you can link a beacon sensor to it.
