Hm, is the wire motor based on that old proof of concept code I worked up some months ago? If so, I'm glad it was useful to somebody![]()
I knew joining these forums was a wise idea. And I was right when people are uploading awesome new additions like this!
I will play with them now.![]()

hey i dont know if someone has done this yet but is there any chance of making a wire no collide addon?
Killburn, may I request permission to upload these into a wire extras SVN that I am working on?
EDIT: Got permission![]()

Is the mic still being worked on? I can envision this being pretty useful for a number of things. Was hoping to put them on a submarine I'm planning on building. Anyway, I just tested it for the first time in a few months and noticed a few things. It's got "detect combat" as one of the inputs, what's this, just hearing gunshots or something? If so, it's not working.
Also, it'd be pretty useful if it could be made to hear props, either colliding with each other or with the world.
Maybe you could add a feature that detects the direction a sound is coming from?
Edit: That request wasn't aimed at killlburn BTW, that was for any other interested Lua coders![]()

Actually, you got a little better. Just change the attitude as I told you in our previous discussion, and it will be okay.Anyway, as I've just said, I'm not really scripting any Wiremod addons anymore, I'm more into SWEPs and gamemodes, so I'm here mostly for the Wiremod news and contraptions.
Any chance of some documentation for the string stuff?
Edit: It's ok, I'll try something myself.![]()

Hey Kill, I'am getting this when duping the constant string chip-
"includes/modules/duplicator.lua:328: attempt to call field 'Func' (a nil value)"
