    Can you create a script ( a model with it too ) For a static card reader , That you can put the keycard into , The exact same way the plug goes into the socket?

    Becuase that would be really useful for fake wire roleplay " Cash machines"

    Heck , if you do that , Make it so it " eats" The card , hides it , and releases it when " Eject " equals one or something.
    So theifs don't steal your card...

    It would probably be better to apply better security to the ATM: not only have the card ("what you have"), but also have a PIN ("what you know"), and combine those two values (like, multiply them or something), and result would be compared against the auth database. If they match, you get access to whatever data is there.

    EDIT: Actually, having a keycard "plug" would be convenient for that kind of thing.

    i like this idea, but i dont like the idea of carrying around a prop with the grav gun everywhere.

    why not make an keycard weapons for people who don't want to carry the thing around >_>

    o well.. seems i just need to build a small follow bot to carry all my keycards in the future xD

    Lol at my dads house (kickass computer, 2mb internet, and css/gmod), it wouldn't let me download this, yet at my moms house (average computer, dialup, and no css/gmod) it downloads without any whining... well atleast, i'm glad I got keycard now everyone on the server I play on uses it and now I won't have any more huge errors for small squares =D This is a kick-butt mod dude, nice job.

    My account got screwed up in the move and I was never e-mailed my temporary password. I figured that was a good time to duck out of the community anyway, as I was losing interest in GMod due to an outstanding bug (specific to my make of laptop) rendering it just about unplayable.

    I still came back to read this thread occasionally. Epic props to Anticept for putting this in the Extras SVN, we've needed something like that for a long time. And thanks to all of you who gave constructive feedback even though I was all but dead. You are the reason I write code.

    Now, I think it's time for me to reacquaint myself with Lua.
    I want to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.

    Kwl glad your back. Hope the wallet does not take to long to come out now as I really don't like carrying around my card or having a floating board carrying my card lol.
