I believe it would consume more resources because it has to check the item its point at and check it against a "list" of items, then after checking the list each time through all of the available items THEN grab the item that matches...
It would be better to use a ranger, you can give it multiple conditions other that just "item" to tell the grabber to grab (using SR-Latches for the grabber works really well, because some items are small and can orbit the grabber, using the SR-Latch makes it either grab or not grab and not a "half-way" or intermittent grab.)
