    What about allowing the grabber to output a distance and be set to default to 0, so you can have a ranger/grabber all in 1?[/b]
    I like that idea. For an application like Fox mentioned, grabbing something very small, including a ranger is less than ideal. Besides, if it worked like that, and Pork was willing to write the code, it should use even less resources. So why not go for it?

    I believe it would consume more resources because it has to check the item its point at and check it against a "list" of items, then after checking the list each time through all of the available items THEN grab the item that matches...

    It would be better to use a ranger, you can give it multiple conditions other that just "item" to tell the grabber to grab (using SR-Latches for the grabber works really well, because some items are small and can orbit the grabber, using the SR-Latch makes it either grab or not grab and not a "half-way" or intermittent grab.)

    embed a ranger into the grabber, and use ur imagination to figure out the rest.
