    Default Wire built into map

Is is possible to build wire stuff into the map? Like a wired space-station controlling thingy that you can wire up to? I know it can be done actually, because I've seen it in GM_Mobenix_V3, but how is it done?

I know exactly what you mean, but I don't think that's actually wire as much as map scripting.

If it were wire I don't think it would load with the actual map file.

gm_mobenix_v3 has something called "door controllers", they're a wire-able entity next to the door that controls the nearby door.

And somebody else made a wire input directly with hammer, but I lost the tread.

I think Gmod has some "lua entities" that you can add to a map, which are basically custom lua scripts. My guess is that they just implemented something that is compatible with Wire, and not Wire-entities themselves into the map.

    But I could be wrong.

If I ever do mapping I have got to figure that out and implement it.

I believe you can add wire entities into a map, but I'm not sure how to add the actual "wiring" of the entities.

I was thinking a while back that it would be awesome if you could wire up entities via Source inputs/outputs.

You could wire up entities by creating the entities and then using a custom Lua script to call the functions to wire it up.

You mean Probably the door and Dj table does automatically things? xD
Thats not wire on the map, just "Wire User" it let you Activate something without pressing "E" from user.
