And the files are updated and downloaded when someone upload something new?
I mean, a small fix or a little change or whatever.
What Is SVN?
SVN means the most up-to-date version of the code, even more updated than the latest release.
It is the project's set of working files that have been edited since the last release came out.
For example, a bug can exist in release 1.x but fixed in SVN, meaning those changes will be published in the next official version.
How to download Wiremod from SVN
If you are lazy, Scroll down to 'Too Complicated?'Wiremod might display a note in the middle of your screen.
- Get a suitable SVN client (Tortoise SVN is a good choice: http://TortoiseSVN.net)
- Make sure you remove the "wire" folder from inside your addons folder
- Create a folder in addons called "wiremodCO"
- If you have Tortoise SVN, right click the wiremodCO folder, and choose "SVN Checkout"
- Enter this address: "https://wiremod.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/wiremod/trunk/" If prompted for a username and password use anonsvn for username and anonsvn for password. You can also use this autolink, if Tortoise SVN was installed correctly: Tortoise autolink (for advanced SVN users!)
- Press OK
- After the download completes, move the following folders from "[all your folders]\garrysmod\addons\wiremodCO" to "[all your folders]\garrysmod\addons":
- wire
- wire model pack 1
- Adv Duplicator
- Delete the folder "[all your folders]\garrysmod\addons\wiremodCO".
(Don't worry, svn puts database files in each folder to keep track of things, you don't need the original wiremodCO in order to continue using SVN)
This note means you didn't do the last two steps (properly).
To update wiremod: Right click on the appropriate folder(s) and choose SVN update to update to the latest wire version. You can hold control + left click the folders first to select more than one, and then right-click one of the subversion folders to update all of them (subversion will automatically exclude non-svn folders!) in one go. As of this writing, the wire folders are "Adv Duplicator,"wire model pack 1" and "Wire".
Unofficial Wire Extras SVN (UWSVN)
Do you have a craving for more Wiremod, but the current toolset isn't enough? Have a look at Anticept's UWSVN. It contains many of user contributed addons, all rolled into one package. Please note; it is an UNOFFICIAL SVN, so please ask questions according to the rules in the UWSVN thread (see notice at the bottom of the post).
Too complicated?Credit to Tomb322 and helpers for this one. You can just download this: http://www.wiremod.com/forum/wiremod...-download.html

"Right click on the addons folder and choose SVN update to update to the latest wire version."
Will download the latest files/changes/fixes etc.
Great, I'll give it a try. Maybe someone's fixed the Undo-bug
Edit: The ) in your link will make everything corrupt.

Or it will introduce new bugs if the current svn version is unstable.
You should only the svn version if you know what your doing. Otherwise wait for a stable release or release canadate.

WIREMOD WILL NOT WORK ON YOUR FACE! BUT IT DOES ON YOUR MOM
Awesome, I always have trouble keeping up to date with fast updating mods like this. Thanks!
One thing to note: the gmodforge page on SVN access, (Much like the page used by countless projects on sourceforge.net,) does NOT state that a password is required. For anonymouns access, it may be advisable to remove the "anonsvn" password, and just leave it blank. That is what threw me off at first. Also, it may be good to create a redirect page on the gmodforge web page to this site, or otherwise host this site from gmodforge's web service, if it's anything like sf.net... Just some thoughts of mine to um... think about.
Edit: Well, I was under the impression that you couldn't change the svn access page on gmodforge, hence why I suggested to remove the anonymous svn access password... Since that page was just updated, I stand corrected. Thank you for updating it.

So, I install it, restart the computer as it asks, and I rightclick my addons folder. THeres no SVN Checkout option, or anything with SVN or Checkout in it either.
