Just a quick question. I'm just messing around with a few things and ran into a little issue.

I have a platform suspended with wire hoverballs. My goal is to set the hoverball's Z position to the height of a targeted player. I currently just have a target finder and beacon sensor wired. The problem is that the target finder outputs the distance in the Z axis between itself and the next target. What I need is the Z position of the target relative to the world. So basically, if the player jumps, so does the platform. If the player noclips into the sky, the platform follows him.

    Can I do this?

    Thanks

set the beacon sensor to find gps. and add to the gps the height of the ground. the ground is not at gps level zero on most maps. it is normally slightly higher. just put a gps on the ground to find that value.

<strike>Thanks quadrapod. I just started to learn how beacons/locators/GPS/etc work last night, so I'm still pretty new in that area.. Can you explain a little more how I wire that?

Where I'm hazy is in your first sentence "set the beacon sensor to find gps". If it's finding GPS, wouldn't it just be finding the location of the GPS and not the target? I'm a little confused.

    Thanks</strike>

    Edit:
Nevermind, I figured it all out. Just had to add the GPS Zpos to the BeaconZ. Thanks!

Also, while I'm at it.. what makes the Hoverballs glow red? I was thinking maybe it meant they were turned off.. but when pointing at them the tip says they are turned on.
