When you installed, The E2 should have crated a file in your data folder called "Expression2". Make sure its there, if not, make one and come back with the results
I just reinstalled steam [or more properly, reformatted and told steam to install where the games already were] and my E2 chips aint workin. I can make new adv dupe files, and look at E2's, but I can not change any E2 coding i have or make new e2's.
any ideas?

Its there, along with all of my previous things i made. even in game they can be read, but never written. the folder/files are not read-only too
Edit:
the parental folder of 'data' was apparently read only *hits head on wall*
Press update.(I could be wrong, I skimmed over your post)
ZeikJTnescalonaDoing something a second time may be tedious but it can help the code neatness and length a lot. You've probably learned a thing or two since then as well."that's like saying 'I have a better Pythagorean theorem than you'."
aight so i thought i had this fixed... but whenever i uncheck the read-only box and apply/lose the properties window... it goes back to being read-only. Ill open up the properties window again and its back to read only! GAH!
