i don't know how good this will be, but maybe some weapon addon - i mean something like GDC, PewPew etc. I prefer GDC. it has no models to download, only like 10 sounds and that's it. Although i don't remeber if this removed props when hit with the guns.

To use GDC, you need GCombat. GCombat has several effects and sounds, 1 model and 1 texture to download. GDC & GCombat destroy props.
PewPew has slightly more content than GCombat, but with PewPew you can toggle the damage system with a console command (among other things).

If I'm going to add any type of weapon addon, it'd be PewPew, but I probably won't, I like to keep the downloads to a minimum so people can join without having to wait 10 minutes before getting in.
