Operation S. C. I. E. N. C. E.

Space Craft In Extended Nebula Cluster Expedition, is what it stands for. I am planning on making a Portal map on hammer, taking place on an Aperture Science controlled spaceship. (please don't steal my idea)

SPOILER:

In the beginning, you wake up in a locked room, (like the end of Resident Evil 1.) You make your way out of there, and notice there is nobody on the ship. There is only one thing; GLaDOS. She tries to keep you away from a certain room. You eventually end up in the escape pod room, only for all of them to be launched.

In the science room, you find a portal gun, and use it to get around GLaDOS's traps. You eventually wind up on the command bridge and learn GLaDOS went berserk and tried to kill everyone. You also know that a valuable science item is locked on the opposite side of the ship.

Then GLaDOS gets mad. She opens up turret doors all over the command room. You use your portal gun to get rid of them. Then GLaDOS gives the 'we pretended to murder you' speech. You try to make your way to the opposite end of the ship, and get the research. It is valuable information to defeat the Combine.

After you get the research item, GLaDOS starts to fill the ship with neurotoxin, (the countdown timer is 20 minutes or something as she needs to fill an entire ship.) You make your way to the emergency self destruct system with the research, and activate it. You then get to GLaDOS, and notice that a Combine core is attached to her. You try to take it off, but it does no good.

You eventually attempt to escape the ship by gathering parts to build a new escape pod. After it is built, you put the research item in it. Then you fly away, and the ship explodes behind you. The screen fades to black.

I am fairly new at mapping. I have just learned how to make a portal door and a portal button. Can anyone give me a hand?

Any ideas for the nebula too?

You might as well have said "Snape kills Dumbledore!!!1!!!1!1!!!!"

either way i would love to play this when you get it together.

Jettisoning the escape pods when you reach them?
System Shock much?

When you get to the escape pods for the first time, you find them all launched, and in the command room you learn why. You eventually build a new one, and when you get back to that room, it appears there.

As for a system shock, I don't know exactly what that is, but there is nobody left on the ship, and the only malfunctioning thing is GLaDOS.

system shock is the exact same thing as bioshock just cyberpunk instead of steam punk and much harder

Exact same thing?
I don't see Shodan in Bioshock, and I don't see Fontaine in System Shock. But yeah, it is the successor, and there are similarities.

JUST TELL ME WHAT SYSTEM SHOCK MEANS WITHOUT USING REFRENCE TO BIOSHOCK. (I don't have the game. Sob. Sob. Sob.)
