My horrible facepunch experience

Out of all this time I've been at wiremod forum, I've only seen at the most of 3 bans witnessed.

That was because they keep talking like they would in FacePunch.

Your experience is actually why i only have an account on FP to use the search function. I never post there, because i'm afraid of being banned for nothing.

Example: somebody asked what svn is. Result: He got banned for asking a stupid question, instead of giving him a link to wikipedia or so.

That's definitely NOT what i call good admins or a good forum.

I've been banned once there and it was because my topic title wasn't descriptive enough (I think I titled it "Quick question" or something). Ban lasted 3 days then I was back. I was pissed, but it was my fault for not reading the rules. Banning for minor offenses really helps to keep the place running smooth. HOWEVER, it seems that they've become much more lax about it over the last several months and a lot more garbage is slipping through.

I wish more forums would follow suit and hand out temporary bans for not following simple rules.


You had to have done SOMETHING to piss them off. I searched for all posts made by you and the only ban I could find was from a few months ago: http://forums.facepunchstudios.com/s....php?p=9787168 .. doesn't look like a very good reason for a ban though lol.
