92% of teens have moved onto rap. If you are part of the 8% that still listen to real music, copy and paste this into your signature.

98% of teens smoke, or have smoked before in their life. If you are part of the 2% that hasn't/doesn't, copy this into your sig.

It ain't broken, it just lacks ducktape

    hmm there are many options

if you want a basic introduction to methods and some classes install flash and use some action script.
its basically instant gratification no long element names (at least not at first) and a very smooth learning curve

other than that i would recommend Java (not jscript not javascript) very simple language and hugely object oriented.

if you want to try something without any kind of compiler you cant beat vb script. you can seriously fuck your computer over with vbs though and don't download any vbs files from the internet.

if the ex gate is the only programming language you know i recommend you spend an hour or so with html. easiest thing in the world to learn, then move up to css and embedded scripts.

if you want to do any realistic physics motion you should have a basic understanding of trig and the beginnings of calculus.
i keep hitting the shift key... but i haven't changed yet.

if you can get a good guide C, C#, and C++ are fairly straight forward

    attached is a code example

EDIT: which apparently nobody wants (i downloaded it once to make sure it was working)

I would reccomend basic for beginners, since it's, well, basic.
Then go to C. You can do anything in C.

    basic has almost no applications.

if you want to start with something really basic start with alice

they tried to get me to use it in computer sciences, i never even installed it.

I would swear by Java, mainly because I got such an easy grasp on it when I was starting. Although C++ wasn't too bad when I did some of that, I just perfer Java.

Java is a pretty nice language to learn, with quite a few tutorial websites to boot. The only that I can think of off the top of my head is www.javabat.com but I know there are a few others.
