No offense but, it's not related to wiremod at all :/ but not a problem
Since when it does that ? My suggestion anyway, reset your router's settings
No idea what's happening, but everytime I start Garry's Mod or hl2:dm my internet just stops working and the only way to get it to work again is to unplug my router for a couple seconds then plug it back in. I tried disableing my firewall, signing off of AIM and X-Fire, and leaving my router unplugged for a couple hours (incase it was overheating). Anyone have any idea what's going on?

I'm in the off topic section. Anyways, It's been happening since I started playing online. It works sometimes, but most of the time it just turns my internet off. I just got cable internet thinking my old connection wasn't working (and it apperantly doesn't work in my area anymore) but it still does the same thing.
I was having a problem similar to this some time ago. The problem turned out to be the server browser - When I refresh the server list, Steam pings each and every server on the list almost simultaneously. My router isn't the fanciest model possible, so it decides there are too many incomplete, outgoing connections and basically blocks my computer from the Internet for a while.
I doubt the problem has disappeared, but nowadays I don't let the list grow over 500 servers (hit "stop refresh" after some 400 servers), and it works.
