Starting with Spacebuilding

Hey

After i played Wire-Mod for the first time, it was clear to me that i will use Wire on all my constructions, as it is so much more fun to build things that can interact. Before i never was part of any kind of Gmod community and so i always just heard of new things from friends.

Thats why i still use the Wire-Mod that only has expression 1 chips. (how old is that?).
Now that i joined the Wiremod Forum, I'm finding so many things that are quite long around and i never heard of. So today i will download the SVN version of Wiremod!

I really want to play the Space Building maps but i know almost nothing about that. The question is what do i need to have the most possible fun??

Do i just need the Spacebuild map and Life support? If yes, what else should i download to have the greatest/most realistic Space Building expierence? Downloading Addons is not the problem, i just don't know any names of what is usefull/fun

Also, is there any "goal" in SB? And which online server is the best to play on with others?
I also noticed that garrys mod automaticaly downloads maps and textures from the Servers, is there a way to get everything that is used on it, so that i dont always see that annoying "ERROR" boxes in the game?

So many questions, i know, please don't be mad at me
I'm thankful for any info you can give me and a list of what you have or what i should download would be really great

The goal of SB is up to the induvidial, mine stuff, travel and live on far away planets all alone, prehaps trips back to earth to stock up on stuff? but mostly you spend time building the craft.

One i play on is Tasuit's, but just sort the server browser by gamemode and find the spacebuild's. BUT remember to get the LS3/SB3/CAF SVN links, otherwise you will get no fun out of it.

and only way to advoid error's, is download the svn/link yourself

Thanks for the reply Sorry i didnt know there was a SB Forum, i thought it is a map for wiring, in future i wont ask about that in this Wiremod Forum ops:
I will get all these Addons you mentioned when i get home, is there anything else i could download?
And for trying in singleplayer mode, could anyone give me his/her favorite top 3 map names for SB?

Expression 1 isn't that far in the past, up until 2 months ago I was still using it ^_^ I think E2 is about a year old.

I doesn't really play spacebuild, but I used to, and back then one of the better maps was called gooniverse.

Also if you want to get rid of those error boxes you'll be wanting the PHX3 SVN and the Spacebuild Model Pack (SBMP). If you have any trouble finding those, post again and I'll dig up the links.

From what I know these are the things you need to play spacebuild.
1. Spacebuild gamemode (I think they're up to version 2) and supported maps
2. Life Support 3 (or 2, some people apparently still use that)
3. SBMP
4. PHX3 SVN
5. Wiremod SVN

EDIT: yeah it's been a while. they're up to SB3 now. I don't know what CAF is but Echo thinks you need it so listen to him.

It is SB, he just haven't changed the name of the gamemode yet.

Wow thank you all so much for the tips, SVN links, etc.
I will try to find all those SVN addons you told me and i'll try out that map.
I'm so glad that i registered here ^_^ If anyone else has something to add, i'll check this thread out everyday I'm on work and on the weekend
