    I opened up my PC to check my graphics card fan is working, since it's overheating.
    The good news is that it works. The bad news is that my internet adapter suddenly stopped working.
    The software shows up, and it tries to scan, but nothing happens.
    To make things worse, this laptop keeps trying to install steam to the non-existant E: drive.
    I may try to bridge a connection to the internet through this laptop until tomorrow.
    I need to wait for my dad first.


    Edit:
    In a weird twist of events, I messed with the laptop till it didn't work.
    A system restore on both has gone weird, and my pc has internet and the laptop doesn't.

    Speaking of GPUs =D
    I just modded my old PC's GPU a bit, i swapped out the old noisy 30mm fan with an 120 mm fan. This is what it looks like:



    Right now i only have one problem... the video card is refusing to let the PC boot without the old fan being plugged in...
    and since the big fan is molex thats kind of a problem.
    Does any1 have an idea on how i can fix this?

    Try shorting out the pins with a jumper, or to be safe, a resistor with similar resistance to the original fan. The fan pins I mean.
