    I believe the problem could be because your beacon sensor is telling you the elevation based on how different it is from the way its facing.

    Thus, since the beacon sensor faces with the plate that moves up and down, you're getting a relative readout rather than an absolute readout.

    A possible solution for this would be to put the beacon sensor on the second plate rather than the third (maybe you already did this and I didn't see it in your post).

    Another problem could be if the beacon sensor is outputting some elevation number rather than an angle (tho I don't see how that would work). I honestly can't remember how it outputs since it's been so long since I've used wiremod... tho I think I remember trying to work out a solution to that in the headshot turret tutorial.
