    Default Expression 2, wirelinks and vectors

    I just got E2 in this last SVN and I've been trying to figure out how to use wirelinks and vectors. So far I'm getting no where.

    I have a simple vector thruster connected to an E2 gate and the E2 gets inputs from a wire numpad. The inputs get in, but I can't seem to define the vector. I don't know why.

    Here's the test chip. It's just my first attempt at E2's vector and wirelink stuff.

    @name Vector Thruster Test
    @inputs Right Left Forward Back Up Down
    @outputs Thruster:vector Mul XYZ:wirelink
    @persist
    interval(100)
    XYZ:setNumber("X",Right-Left)
    XYZ:setNumber("Y",Back-Forward)
    XYZ:setNumber("Z",Down-Up)
    XYZ:setNumber("Mul",1)
    X=Right-Left
    Y=Back-Forward
    Z=Down-Up
    Thuster=vec(X,Y,Z)
    Mul=1

    I don't know at all how to use wirelinks can someone tell me? They are not listed at all in the E2 documentation. Also it doesn't matter what I put into X Y or Z. I've even tried putting in random numbers and the vector's output remains (0,0,0) at all times.

    I'm finding the E2 documentation to be very poor compared to E1. And I'm sick of sifting through the 70+ pages of mostly outdated information on it in the E2 thread. I just want to know how these two things work what they do and how I can use them.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    You probably already went to the E2-thread.
    But, there are two reasons, one is because wirelinks are not yet officially supported, hence they are not documented. Secondly, it would take way too long time for me wire proper documentation for this language, hence it is a wiki now instead so that you people out there can help fill-in the gaps, provide examples and help improve.

    Generally, if you need any help at all, just use the E2-thread (no need to sift through the entire thread), just ask.

    For THIS language? What language is the documentation IN anyway?

    For expression 2, and the documentation is for expression 2... but it uses wiki-formatting of course.
