I am working on a way to calculate pitch and yaw with a beacon sensor and a laser pointer. I have a few ideas that might work but I am unsure of winch would and do not want to wast time exploring all those options. Could someone could point me in the right direction of how I would go about doing this.

What do you mean by beacon? Target Finder, Something else?
You say to link a xyz-beacon to the beacon sensor what is a xyz beacon... also the code someone posted a link to outputs relative to the expression to to a person targeted. I want it to calculate the bear from my position to the position I am looking at so it outputs the bear elev of my veiw, if that makes any sense
