Troubleshooting Gmod
1. Are you a pirate? If you are, don't ask for help, don't pass go, don't collect 200. Really, 99% of pirate requests will be a waste your own time.
2. Have you used search? Don't be a lazy ass, use it. You will probably get your question answered faster than waiting for a reply.
3. Try verifying your gmod cache. Do this by right-clicking Garry's Mod in steam, click properties, go to "Local Files" tab, then click "verify integrity of game cache." Now see if you have the problem.
4. Reinstall Garry's Mod. Do this by going to your garrysmod folder, and RENAME it to gmodold (Don't delete it, because this might not fix the problem!).
5. Open steam, launch Garrys mod, and just have a quick peek in single player for any issues. If you have any immediately, make sure you note them for us!
6. At this point, install a FRESH copy of Wiremod (and the addon in question if that is where you are having the problem), and if it DOES fix it, that means it was NOT WM or your addon, it was a different addon or file downloaded that screwed it sideways. If this is the case, you should just delete gmodold and start over again. Otherwise, continue if you are still having the problem.
The folder structure for wiremod info.txt files should look like this:
/addons/wire model pack 1/info.txt
/addons/adv duplicator/info.txt
/addons/wire/info.txt
If you see /addons/wire/wire/info.txt, then you are doing it wrong :P. Move all the contents in /addons/wire/wire to /addons/wire, and then delete the now empty folder /addons/wire/wire (whew eh?). If you have files in there, then please kindly hang yourself for not doing as I said (MOVE not COPY!) 1,2,3,5,6. Taking 4 today...
If i missed anything on search, forgive me as i'm using a mobile phone internet connection, and my house sucks with its gprs connection. It's annoying enough working over a RDP with this connection.
