Well, they do for me. The problem must be on your end. The only time this happens for me is if I remove the weld and then re-weld it, then duplicate the contraption. If that happens to be what you did, you can use my WireLib Weld tool to fix it.
I didn't see it in the bug reports but I'm sure it's been mentioned.
The target finders do not remove themselves after the object they've been welded to is removed or destroyed.

I might have done exactly that :lol: I had trouble with the target finder spawn-welding to a prop. I'll check again though.
