Orbit?

I'm trying to make an orbital laser that will automatically target things, and of course, destroy them, but i want it to orbit the planet (spacebuild). Then my other thing is, im trying to make another hovering laser cannon, but instead of manually moving it over a target, is there a way to (without changing its actually direction, so it stays horizontal) to steer itself OVER the target while keeping its current height, and then also of course, destroy it. Anyone got any tips or tutorials on how to do this?

Whenever I try to make a seeker with vector thrusters I always end up with the thing orbiting people/things. lol
