do a search on you addons folder for files/Folders with name containing .svn then delete them all.
Also you may have to be on view hidden files mode.

Help! When I downloaded wiremod with SVN my friend started to get portscans from my IP (He plays in my servs) And sometimes Norton says that i get portscans from my own ip!! Help! Is it from the tortoise svn or something?

I installed Wire SVN (went through the whole process and stuff without any problems) but then when I tried running Garry's Mod I got a "Platform Error: Module failed to initialize" and the game crashed right at startup.

I know this has happened to me before when installing various mods that I then uninstalled to get Gmod to work again but I wouldn't have thought Wire mod to be one of those, and the Wire SVN was the only mod I installed since I last played Gmod successfully.


I've tried removing some of my other mods (I figured there might be a conflict somewhere) but I still haven't gotten anywhere. Any thoughts on the issue? I'd rather not uninstall Wire SVN considering how insanely old the latest release is but if I can't use Gmod at all because of it I'll have to.

I just noticed this a few posts up and my problem is the same (except for the one message thats in some other language, I got the same message but in English):

Okay... SVN seems to make this error pop up.
when i remove every folder (inside the addons folder) the SVN placed in the update i can play GMOD
but whenever i use SVN to install Wiremod my game shows up those errors....

can you use svn to update more than one thing like wire AND the hydrogen systems life support addon?

theoretically but one folder can only update from one place. so you have to place one of the svn's in a different folder and trasfer the files.

something happened to steam itself I'm sorry but you will need to remove the steam program and reinstall everything.

use add or remove programs to do that so you remove all of it
